“Love isn’t enough”: one of the hardest lessons I’ve learned in the past few years. If you love someone who needs help, sometimes the best thing you can do is give them space to grow on their own time. This is one of the most heart-wrenchingly honest songs I've ever written. It echoes the themes of bell hooks’ “Communion”, rides on aerial arcs inspired by Joni Mitchell, and is a succinct summary of my recent work in therapy.
